All nine PGA Junior Series events will serve as Junior PGA Championship qualifiers, with the 16-18 boys' division winner and the overall girls' champion earning a spot in the prestigious Championship.
Each event will feature 54-hole (three-day) competitions, in addition to The PGA's 72-hole flagship junior event, the 38th Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Hotel Fitness.
The 2013 Junior PGA Championship will be contested, July 30–Aug. 2, for the first time in the state of Virginia, at Trump National Golf Club – Washington, D.C., in Potomac Falls.
Nationally recognized by both Golfweek and the Junior Golf Scoreboard, the PGA Junior Series debuted in the summer of 1996. The program has attracted boys and girls representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, 24 countries/territories and six continents.
Each series event will feature a field of up 156 players. The event fields are based on playing ability and are not first-come, first-served.
